This Privacy Policy describes how SaviLock, operated by Afrid Partners LLC ("SaviLock," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you access or use our platform at https://savilock.com (the "Platform") or any related services (collectively, the "Services"). By creating an account or using our Services, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Platform.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, information generated through your use of the Platform, and information from third-party sources.

1.1 Information You Provide

  • Identity Information: Full name, email address, phone number, SaviTag (your unique platform identifier), and profile photo.
  • Account Credentials: Password and authentication information.
  • Financial Information: Bank account numbers collected solely for the purpose of processing withdrawals from the Platform. SaviLock does not hold user funds directly -- all balances are held by Flutterwave, our third-party payment processor, within a SaviLock account on their platform. All payments, peer-to-peer transfers, and currency conversions are executed through Flutterwave's infrastructure under their own privacy policy (https://flutterwave.com/us/privacy-notice).
  • Wallet and Balance Information: Your SaviLock wallet balance, transaction history, and fund movement records as reflected in our internal ledger. This includes peer-to-peer transfers sent or received and any currency conversion activity.
  • Business Information: Business name, registration details, service descriptions, and pricing provided by contractors or service providers listing on the platform.
  • Transaction Information: Details of contracts created, milestones set, payments made or received, peer-to-peer transfers between users, currency conversion requests and resulting exchange records, and dispute filings. For P2P transfers, basic transaction details including sender SaviTag, recipient SaviTag, amount, currency, and timestamp are recorded on both parties' accounts.
  • Communications: Messages exchanged with other users through in-app chat, support requests, and feedback you submit to us.
  • 1.2 Information We Collect Automatically

  • Device and Usage Data: IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, and the pages or features you access.
  • Log Data: Access times, clickstream data, referring URLs, and session duration.
  • Transaction Metadata: Timestamps, transaction values, milestone completion records, and payment status.

  • Identity Verification: We may receive information from third-party identity verification providers to confirm your identity and comply with applicable law.

  • SaviScore Data Inputs: Aggregated performance signals derived from platform activity used to calculate your SaviScore, including milestone completion rates, payment timeliness, and dispute history.
  • 2. How We Use Your Information

    We use the information we collect to operate and improve the Platform, including:

  • Creating and managing your account.
  • Facilitating Milestone Contracts, escrow-style payments, and fund disbursements.
  • Calculating and updating your SaviScore based on platform activity.
  • Processing payments and transfers in multiple currencies.
  • Enabling in-app chat and communications between users.
  • Verifying your identity and assessing fraud or compliance risk.
  • Providing customer support and resolving disputes through our Dispute Resolution feature.
  • Sending transactional notifications, account alerts, and service updates.
  • Sending marketing communications where you have opted in (you may opt out at any time).
  • Analyzing usage trends to improve features, performance, and user experience.

  • 3. SaviScore and Automated Processing

    SaviLock calculates a SaviScore for each user, a trust and reliability rating based on your activity on the Platform. Inputs include milestone completion rates, payment timeliness, consistency of performance, and penalty events such as milestone delays or unresolved disputes.

    Your SaviScore may be visible to other users on the Platform and may influence the likelihood of being selected for contracts. You have the right to request an explanation of how your SaviScore was calculated and to contest inaccurate inputs by contacting us at privacy@savilock.com.

    4. When and With Whom We Share Your Information

    We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

    4.1 With Other Users

    When you engage in a contract, your name, SaviTag, profile information, transaction history relevant to that contract, and SaviScore may be visible to the other party. If you list services in our business directory, your business profile is publicly visible on the Platform.

    4.2 With Service Providers

    We share information with third-party vendors who help us operate the Platform, including payment processors, identity verification providers, cloud hosting providers, fraud detection services, and customer support tools. These providers are contractually required to protect your information and use it only for the purposes we specify.

    4.3 With Financial Partners

    All user funds are held by Flutterwave within a SaviLock account on their platform. To facilitate payments, peer-to-peer transfers, withdrawals, and currency conversions, we share necessary transaction data with Flutterwave. SaviLock does not independently hold, move, or convert user funds.     4.4 For Legal and Safety Purposes

    We may disclose your information if required by law, regulation, or valid legal process, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of SaviLock, our users, or the public.

    4.5 Business Transfers

    If SaviLock or Afrid Partners LLC undergoes a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

    4.6 With Your Consent

    We may share your information for any other purpose with your explicit consent.

    We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. After account closure, we may retain certain information for a period consistent with:

  • Fraud prevention and platform integrity purposes.
  • Resolution of open disputes or outstanding payment obligations.
  • Enforcement of our Terms of Service.
  • When retention is no longer necessary, we delete or anonymize your information in accordance with our internal data retention standards.

    You may opt out of promotional emails by following the unsubscribe instructions in any such email. You may also manage notification preferences within the app.

    7.4 Opt-Out of Targeted Advertising

    If we engage in targeted advertising, you may opt out via the Privacy Choices link on our website or by enabling the Global Privacy Control (GPC) in your browser.

    7.5 SaviScore Review

    You have the right to request a review of your SaviScore calculation and to dispute inaccurate underlying data. Contact us at privacy@savilock.com to initiate a review.

    7.6 California Residents

    If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know, the right to delete, the right to opt-out of sale or sharing of personal information, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights.     8. Children's Privacy

    The Platform is not directed at children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we learn that a user is under 18, we will promptly deactivate the account and delete associated information.     9. Data Security

    We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These include encrypted data transmission, access controls, and secure infrastructure managed by vetted third-party hosting providers.

    10. International Data Transfers

    SaviLock serves users globally, with particular focus on cross-border transactions between the United States, Africa, and other international markets. By using the Platform, you consent to the transfer of your information to countries that may have different data protection laws than your jurisdiction.

    Where required by applicable law, we implement appropriate safeguards for international data transfers, including standard contractual clauses.

    11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

    We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via email or through a prominent notice on the Platform before the changes take effect. The updated policy will be identified by a revised effective date at the top of this page.
